Cristiano Ronaldo was recently honoured in a spectacular fashion by Saudi Pro-League club Al-Nassr, celebrating his remarkable achievement of scoring 900 career goals.
This milestone was reached during the international break when Ronaldo netted his 900th goal against Croatia in the Nations League.
Ronaldo, who has previously won the Ballon d’Or five times, surpassed his long-time rival Lionel Messi with this latest achievement. He now sets his sights on reaching the coveted 1,000-goal mark.
In recognition of his incredible feat, Al-Nassr presented Ronaldo with a specially designed jersey ahead of their Saudi Pro League match against Al-Ahli.
The jersey, emblazoned with “GOAT” and the number 900 on the back, was part of a grand tribute to the 39-year-old forward.
The club shared a video of the celebration on Al-Nassr’s official X account, accompanied by the caption, “Over 900 reasons to celebrate: the ‘GOAT’ is home 🐐🎉.” Additionally, a striking message in the stands read, “900 goals” and “Only heroes achieve glory.”
Ronaldo’s 900 career goals comprise 450 during his tenure at Real Madrid, 101 for Juventus, 68 for Al-Nassr, five for Sporting, 131 for Portugal, and 145 for Manchester United.
Despite this incredible goal-scoring record, Ronaldo has secured only one trophy with Al-Nassr since his arrival, the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.
The former Manchester United star will be eager to add more silverware to his collection this season.
