French club Lille LOSC has announced the signing of Nigerian teenage prodigy Adeshina Ayodele from Beyond Limits Academy.
The announcement, confirmed by Beyond Limits Academy on their social media platforms, marks Ayodele’s transition to professional football with his first contract.
Ayodele has secured a five-year deal with Lille, tying him to the club until the summer of 2029.
This signing comes after Lille outmaneuvered competition from Belgian club Anderlecht and an undisclosed Dutch team to acquire the promising forward.
Ayodele joins a distinguished roster of Nigerian players who have previously worn Lille’s colours, including notable figures such as Victor Osimhen, Vincent Enyeama, and Osaze Odemwingie.
During the 2023-24 Nigeria National League season, Ayodele was instrumental for Beyond Limits Academy.
His pivotal role was crucial in their successful NNL play-offs, which led to their promotion to the Nigerian Premier Football League.
In the Super 8 final against Nassarawa United, Ayodele’s decisive goal was key in securing the championship for his team.
On the international stage, Ayodele’s skills were further highlighted as he played a significant part in Beyond Limits Academy’s historic victory at the Viareggio Cup in Italy.
As the first African team to win this prestigious tournament, Ayodele’s contributions, including five goals and an assist, underscored his burgeoning talent and potential on a global scale.
