Napoli has reportedly struck a comprehensive agreement with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli concerning the transfer of Victor Osimhen.
According to sources, Al-Ahli has settled on a deal to acquire the Nigerian striker for an approximate fee of €80 million, £67.2 million.
The Saudi club has already scheduled a medical examination for Osimhen in anticipation of the transfer.
A well-known transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, disclosed the terms of the deal on X, noting that the contract offered to Osimhen is for four years, with an annual net salary of around £25 million.
Additionally, the contract includes the release clause that Osimhen’s camp had requested.
Romano’s update on the situation stated, “Napoli reach total agreement with Al Ahli for Victor Osimhen! Club to club deal done for €75/80m total package, Al Ahli have already booked a medical. Four year contract worth €25/30m per season net to Osimhen + RELEASE clause. Final green light up to Victor.”
Despite the agreement between the clubs, the final decision rests with Osimhen, who has yet to commit to the move to Saudi Arabia.
Osimhen initially showed hesitancy towards a potential transfer to Al-Hilal but may reconsider a move to the Middle East if a European transfer fails to materialize.
Napoli remains engaged in discussions with Chelsea over a possible deal before the Premier League transfer deadline at 11 p.m. BST on Friday.
Chelsea is reportedly still keen on securing Osimhen’s services and has proposed an initial loan deal with an obligation to purchase.
However, the negotiations have been complicated by Osimhen’s wage demands.
With time running out before the transfer window closes, Chelsea faces a race against the clock to finalize the deal.
In contrast, Al-Hilal remains unhurried due to the Saudi Pro League’s transfer window staying open until next month.
In the meantime, Napoli has moved quickly to secure Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea as Osimhen’s potential replacement, further indicating the club’s readiness for a change in their attacking lineup.
