The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps apprehended 16 suspected miscreants at Terminal 3 in Oshodi as part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to enforce law and order.
This development was disclosed by the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, through a video shared on X.com on Tuesday.
Wahab stated, “Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps earlier today apprehended 16 miscreants at Terminal 3 in Oshodi.”
He emphasized that the arrests align with the state’s zero-tolerance policy against hoodlums and other troublemakers who have been disturbing the peace in various parts of Lagos.
In addition to the arrests, Wahab revealed that KAI operatives uncovered a warehouse filled with styrofoam packs in the Idumota area.
“The product has been confiscated and taken to the Taskforce Office for incineration,” he added.
Furthermore, Wahab noted that on Monday, operatives from the Drainage Maintenance Department continued their work on de-flooding, maintenance dredging, and clearing of silts from the Coker Bridge to the Alafia Bridge Primary Channel in Surulere Local Government Area, as part of the state’s efforts to prevent flooding in the area.
