The Lagos State Task Force on Environment and Special Offences Enforcement Unit raided a notorious drug hub in Agbado-Oke-Odo LCDA, located in Alimosho Local Government Area.
The operation, spearheaded by CSP Adetayo Akerele, resulted in the apprehension of 124 individuals suspected of drug-related activities and other criminal offenses.
The Commissioner for the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahabdisclosed this development in a statement on X.com on Sunday.
Wahab revealed that the raid was prompted by reliable intelligence, leading the task force to target a well-known black spot in the Amikanle area.
The statement read, “Acting on credible intelligence received in the form of SOS, the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences (Enforcement) Unit led by CSP Adetayo Akerele yesterday carried out a raid operation at a black spot at Amikanle area of Agbado-Oke-Odo LCDA in Alimosho LGA.
