The National Examination Council has announced the results of the 2024 common entrance examination for Unity schools, with a total of 13 candidates scoring the lowest grade of 01.
According to The PUNCH, the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, who addressed a press briefing on Tuesday, a candidate achieved the highest score of 203 out of a possible 210.
The examination, held on June 1, 2024, saw 71,291 candidates participate across 599 centers.
Lagos State had the highest number of candidates, with 17,751, followed by the Federal Capital Territory with 10,209, and Anambra State with 4,972.
Out of the total candidates, 4,360 were absent, while 66,931 sat for the examination. The admission process will prioritize merit, with 60% of the slots allocated based on academic performance.
