Kwara State University in Malete, Moro Local Government Area of the state, has announced the expulsion of 175 students due to violations of the institution’s rules and regulations.
In a press statement issued by Ag Director of University Relations, Dr. Saeedat Aliyu, and shared with journalists in Ilorin, it was disclosed, “This is to inform the public that one hundred and seventy-five students have been expelled from Kwara State University, Malete, for various offenses.”
The statement continued, noting that “the decision to expel these students was based on the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC), which convened between October 2021 and March 2024.”
Furthermore, it outlined that “the expelled students were found guilty of offenses including examination malpractice, theft, using falsified results for admission, assault, fraud, affiliation with unregistered groups, and possession of firearms.”
“The management of Kwara State University emphasizes its unwavering commitment to maintaining discipline and ensuring that its graduates embody both academic excellence and exemplary character,” the statement concluded.
