A devastating bomb explosion has occurred in Gwoza, Borno State, resulting in the loss of eight lives and leaving fifteen others injured.
According to NTA, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Kenneth Daso said the tragic incident took place at a bustling motor park in Mararaba T. Junction, Gwoza town, on June 29, 2024, at approximately 3:40 pm.
A female suicide bomber, carrying an infant, detonated an Improvised Explosive Device claiming her own life, that of her baby, and six others.
The injured victims are currently receiving medical attention at General Hospital Gwoza.
