Rivers Angels and Naija Ratels are set to face off in the final of the 2024 Women’s President Federation Cup after winning their respective semi-final matches on Sunday.
Rivers Angels secured their place in the final by defeating Delta Queens 2-1 at the Awka City Stadium.
Blessing Okpe and Peace Effiong netted twice for the Port Harcourt club within the first six minutes.
Delta Queens’ Okpala Maureen managed to narrow the gap with a penalty just before halftime.
Meanwhile, the second semi-final at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium was equally intense, with Naija Ratels overcoming Remo Stars Ladies in a dramatic 7-6 penalty shootout after a 2-2 stalemate in regulation time.
The final will take place at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Saturday, June 29.
