Newly appointed Napoli head coach, Antonio Conte, is eager to hold a face-to-face meeting with Victor Osimhen amidst swirling transfer rumours.
According to Cronache di Napoli via Tuttomercatoweb, Conte is keen to discuss the Nigerian striker’s future with the Serie A champions.
Conte’s goal is to persuade Osimhen to stay with Napoli despite the persistent speculation about his potential departure.
Currently, no club appears willing to meet Osimhen’s hefty €130 million release clause.
Chelsea and Manchester United have shifted their focus to younger talents like Samuel Omorodion and Joshua Zirkzee.
Meanwhile, Arsenal is reportedly negotiating with Viktor Gyökeres. Paris Saint-Germain has yet to make a bid, leaving Al Ahli and Al Hilal as the only clubs expressing serious interest.
However, Osimhen is not inclined towards a move to the Saudi Pro League.
Unless a European club steps forward to meet his release clause, Osimhen is likely to remain with Napoli for the foreseeable future.
