Israel launched a series of attacks on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon on Friday after detecting multiple launches from Lebanese territory into Israel earlier in the day, the IDF confirmed.
Early reports indicated that Israeli strikes targeted locations near the town of Al Wazzani in southern Lebanon.
Israeli security forces have not yet officially confirmed these operations.
Later in the day, following the sounding of sirens in Kela and Sha’al, the IDF successfully intercepted a suspicious aerial target that had crossed from Lebanese territory.
Several launches originating from Lebanon were observed crossing into northern Israel on Friday afternoon. No injuries were reported.
In response, IDF artillery targeted areas in southern Lebanon, specifically Kfarhamam and Labbouneh.
Throughout the day, the IDF continued to fire artillery rounds into southern Lebanon as a deterrent measure.
During the night, IDF jets conducted airstrikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the vicinity of Taybeh and Deir Seryan in southern Lebanon.
