Nollywood icon, Amaechi Muonagor, was laid to rest on Friday in his Obosi hometown in Anambra State.
Family, relatives, and the Nollywood community bid him farewell with tears.
Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Tourism, and Entertainment, Dom Onyenji, were among the dignitaries who were in attendance to mourn the late actor.
Obi, in his condolence speech, expressed sorrow over Muonagor’s passing and prayed for the repose of his soul.
Onyenji acknowledged Nollywood’s loss of a creative talent in Muonagor, highlighting the actor’s significant contributions to the industry.
The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Ejezie, encouraged the bereaved family to find solace, emphasizing Muonagor’s greatness.
AGN State Chairman, Mrs. Chinyere Anyaegbunam, described Muonagor as a father figure in the industry, noting his role in mentoring many actors.
