An Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure has scrapped the 33 Local Council Development Areas created by the administration of late former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
According to the Nation, Presiding Judge, Justice A.O Adebusuoye, said the LCDAs were not lawfully created.
It declared the creation as unconstitutional and illegal.
The late governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu, had assented to the bill creating 33 local council development areas in the state. Akeredolu signed the bill in September 2023.
