Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee to bolster their attacking options.
Talks are underway with the 23-year-old’s representatives, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
Zirkzee is one of three players on United’s shortlist.
His contract includes a €40 million (£34m) release clause that will be active from July 1, potentially making him the club’s first signing of the summer if negotiations progress.
Zirkzee’s representative, Kia Joorabchian, is reportedly seeking a £12.6 million payout.
The forward contributed 12 goals and seven assists to Bologna’s successful Champions League qualification campaign this season.
Additionally, Erik ten Hag is considering Jonathan David and Ivan Toney as potential signings for United as the summer transfer window begins.
