Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, highlighted the pivotal role of fathers as ‘uplifting ladders’ in steering their children’s future.
Fubara disclosed this in his Fathers’ Day message shared on X on Sunday.
“Let me profoundly congratulate fathers all over the world on the 2024 Fathers’ Day Celebration.
“Fathers are endowed with great capacity for exploits, determination and the shouldering of responsibilities as moral compasses at home and in the society at large.”
“That is why they remain ladders for uplifting our children towards a greater future,” Fubara wrote.
He conveyed profound appreciation for the multifaceted roles fathers play, acknowledging them as breadwinners, role models, teachers, leaders, disciplinarians, burden bearers, and shapers of society.
Governor Fubara expressed a heartfelt prayer for God to continue granting fathers the strength to navigate life’s challenges and adversities, stating, “In deep appreciation of the role of fathers as breadwinners, role models, teachers, leaders, disciplinarians, burden bearers, and shapers of society, it is my fervent prayer that God continues to give them the vigor to weather the storms and odds of life.”
The governor equally wished fathers continued success and fulfilment, noting “May God continually reward their untiring efforts and commitments towards achieving their endeavours and bettering the lot of society.”
