Xavi Hernandez is reportedly considering a move to the Premier League, following in the footsteps of his former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola.
The legendary midfielder, 44, was let go by Barcelona in May after a tumultuous spell in charge.
Xavi was seen publicly for the first time on Saturday since his Barcelona departure was confirmed at the end of last season.
Spanish news outlet Sport reports that the Barca icon is planning a move to the Premier League.
If this happens, he will be emulating his former manager Pep Guardiola.
Xavi plans to spend some much-needed time with his family in the coming months but is looking at England as his next destination.
Xavi is looking to take on an “interesting” project in England, although it’s unclear which clubs he might be considering, according to Sport.
Despite facing criticism during his time at Barcelona, he is expected to receive several offers after winning the domestic double in 2022/2023.
The former Camp Nou midfielder had announced his departure at the end of the season in January, only to reverse his decision in April.
The club later confirmed his departure at the end of the campaign, during which Barcelona finished second, 10 points behind rivals Real Madrid.
