The Bafana Bafana of South Africa are set to land in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Wednesday, in the preparation for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Nigeria.
A delegation of 23 players, along with backroom staff and officials from the South African Football Association will make the journey aboard a chartered flight.
Upon arrival, the team will be accommodated at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Ikot Ekpene.
Head coach, Hugo Broos, has had to make a last-minute change to his squad due to an injury sustained by Grant Kekana during Saturday’s Nedbank Cup final against Orlando Pirates.
Kekana, who was substituted at halftime by Junior Mendietta, will be replaced by Kaizer Chiefs defender Given Msimango.
The crucial match will take place on Friday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, where Nigeria will host their South African rivals.
