Former Super Eagles winger, Victor Moses, has departed the Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow.
Spartak Moscow announced Victor Moses’s departure from the club on their official website.
The former Chelsea player joined the Russian side a few seasons ago after a stint in Italy and Turkey.
“Official: Victor Moses is leaving Spartak at the end of the season.
“Two-time medalist of the Russian Championship, winner of the Russian Cup, one of the heroes of the group stage of the Europa League 2021/22.
“We thank Victor for the years spent in our club. We wish you success and good luck!,” the message read.
The Nigerian International initially joined Spartak on loan before signing a permanent deal. He played his final match for the club against Rubin Kazan on Sunday.
During his time at Spartak, the 33-year-old made 84 appearances across all competitions, contributing to 20 goals.
After an illustrious nine-year tenure at Stamford Bridge, Victor Moses bid farewell to Chelsea, becoming the club’s longest-serving player on a first-team contract.
In July 2021, he sealed a permanent move to Russian club, Spartak Moscow, marking the end of an era with the Blues.
During his time with Chelsea, Moses embarked on loan spells with six different clubs, including Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United, Fenerbahce, Inter Milan, and ultimately Spartak Moscow.
Despite these temporary stints, Moses left a lasting impact at Chelsea, departing as a Europa League, FA Cup, and Premier League title winner, with 18 goals to his credit in 128 appearances.
His journey also included emerging as the top scorer in the 2007 European U17 Championship.
