Prominent Nigerian figures, including the Oyo, Ogun, and Lagos States Governors, attended the installation ceremony of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, as the Asiwaju of Ede land.
Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, and Sanwo-Olu of Lagos were present at the palace of the Timi of Ede, Oba Muniru Lawal, Laminisa 1, to honor the occasion.
Despite political differences between Adeleke and the Governors of Ogun and Lagos, their attendance added grandeur to the event, earning applause from many political observers in Osun State.
Former Governor Rauf Aregbesola also sent a representative to the ceremony, showcasing a sign of respect and unity across party lines.
Political supporters, speaking anonymously, noted that the presence of the Governors from different parties demonstrates the maturity of Nigerian democracy.
