Lagos State Police Command said it had arrested three suspected armed robbers and cultists who have been terrorising different parts of the state.
Spokesperson for the State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known in Lagos on Tuesday.
He stated that a tip-off from the public facilitated the apprehension of the initial suspect, known as Bright, aged 34, in the Iba area.
Subsequent inquiries resulted in the arrest of two additional suspects, aged 23 and 28, in the Jakande-Lekki area of the state.
“Three locally made semi-automatic pistols, one locally made revolver, four rounds of live cartridges and 129 rounds of 9mm ammunition were recovered from them.
“The suspects are to be arraigned after an ongoing investigation,” he said.
The PPRO commended the residents of Lagos for their timely information, which was instrumental in the apprehension of the suspects.
“Policing is everyone’s business, see something, say something,“ he said.
