Ikeja Electric Distribution Company has slashed its electricity tariff for customers in Band A from N225/kWh to N206.80/kWh.
The company announced the reduction in a circular signed by its management on Monday.
It stated that customers in this category will now pay N206.80/kWh instead of the N225/kWh mandated by the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission .
IKJED assured customers in Band A of 20 to 24 hours of electricity supply and clarified that the tariff for customers in other categories will remain unchanged.
“Dear Esteemed Customers, Please be informed of the downward tariff review of our Band A feeders from N225/kwh to N206.80/kwh effective 6th May 2024 with guaranteed availability of 20-24hrs supply daily.The tariff for Bands B, C, D, and E remains unchanged,” the circular read.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission had announced a new tariff hike on April 3rd.
