Popular Nigerian actor, Zulu Adigwe, known for his iconic role as Mr. B in Ken Saro-Wiwa’s soap opera, Basi and Company in 1987, has passed away.
His death was confirmed by movie producer Stanley Nwoko on Instagram. Adigwe’s legacy.
“I regret to announce the passing of a veteran actor, late Mr Zulu Adigwe. What caused his death is yet to be reviewed. Rest in peace good actor,” Nwoko said in his post.
In the Nigerian entertainment industry, the veteran actor will be remembered by fans and colleagues alike.
At the time of filing this report, the cause of Zulu Adigwe’s death was not yet clear.
Adigwe was known for his recent role as Pascal Nworie in Ramsey Nouah’s remake of the classic ‘Living in Bondage’.
Despite not initially studying Theatre at university, he had been enrolled at the University of Austria where he briefly studied Medicine. He also had his primary and secondary education in Austria.
However, after his father’s death, he returned to Nigeria and pursued a degree in Theatre Arts at the University of Ibadan. Throughout his career, Adigwe starred in many Nollywood movies, including ‘Blood of the Orphan”, ‘Blood Diamonds’,, ‘Face of a Liar”, ‘Unforgettable’, ‘Issakaba’, and ‘Forbidden Land’, among others.
