A former Big Brother Naija housemate, Neo Akpofure, has advised other past contestants on the show not to lose their morals in a bid to stay relevant after leaving the show.
In an interview with The PUNCH, he said, “Life will always pressure one, regardless of the level one finds oneself in. There is the pressure to be better than the person one was before going into the house. Staying relevant is very important in this business but losing discipline or one’s morals is where some people get it wrong.”
On what prompted him to go into acting, Neo said, “I have always wanted to be an actor. I put more effort into acting than any other task while in BBN house because it is something I have a great passion for. However, coming into the industry with a shortcut to fame, like some call BBN, does not mean one won’t need to prove oneself in any area of the industry one wants to venture into. I am glad I was given the opportunity to feature in the movie, Shina, which will be released soon.”
Speaking on his current projects, the actor said, “I have quite a few things to unveil before January 2023. I will be launching my lifestyle brand before the end of the year. My foundation, Amakazat, which focuses on the welfare of Nigerian prisoners, will also reach out to some prisons in the country this year. I am really excited about that because growing up, I was privileged to see what life behind those walls looked like. I am glad I am able to bring the change I want to see.”
