Famous Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun, better known by his stage name as Wizkid, has explained that he is not an Afrobeats artiste.
Taking to his Instagram page on Saturday, the Grammy-winning singer, declared that his next album was ready, while warning his fans not to expect an Afrobeats version of him on the project.
Wizkid then called on fans of Afrobeats not to download his new album, adding that he is not an Afro anything.
“Album done! See you soon b*tches!
“And abeg if you like Pakurumo Wizkid, don’t download this new album. In fact, delete me from your playlist and your life!
“If you like Afrobeats, don’t download my album. I’m not a f*cking Afrobeats artiste. I am not Afro anything,” he wrote.
