Barcelona thrashed Napoli 3-1 in Tuesday’s second leg of their Champions League last-16 encounter to progress to the quarter-finals 4-2 on aggregate.
In an exciting encounter, Barça set the early pace to take a 2-0 lead but Napoli pulled a goal back to set up a thrilling second half before Robert Lewandowski scored a killer third goal for the hosts.
Fermin Lopez and Joao Cancelo both struck in the space of three first-half minutes at the Olympic Stadium before Amir Rrahmani’s 30th-minute goal gave Italian champions Napoli hope.
Both sides had chances after the break but with seven minutes left Barça found a much-needed third goal when Lewandowski slotted home a clever pass from Sergi Roberto.
