Yet-to-be-identified gunmen have reportedly killed one person at Ezzamgbo in the Ohaukwu Local government Area of Ebonyi State.
It was learnt that unknown gunmen attacked a hotel belonging to the Local Government Chairman, Ikechukwu Odono.
It was said that during the attack many vehicles around the vicinity were set ablaze.
When contacted, The State Police Command acting Public Relations Officer, DSP Joshua Ukandu, confirmed the attack when speaking with to newsmen in a telephone conversation, on Monday.
Ukandu explained that the unfortunate incident occurred at Ezzamgbo junction on Sunday night, leading to the killing of one yet-to-be-identified person.
The police spokesperson said more personnel have been drafted to the area to uncover the circumstances behind the attack.
The latest attack is coming barely two weeks after a POS operator was attacked and killed in the same area.
