The family of Herbert Wigwe has announced the burial rites for him, his wife, and his son.
The trio died in a chopper crash some weeks back in the US.
The former Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group) was also aboard the aircraft and was part of those confirmed dead in the accident.
A funeral rites for Wigwe, his wife, and his son obtained by Channels Television, showed that the burial ceremony will begin on Monday, March 4, 2024.
The grieving family has announced the funeral rites for Wigwe, his wife, and their son. The somber ceremony is set to take place over several days, starting on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the prestigious Eko Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
March 4 will be dedicated to celebrating the life and professional legacy of Herbert Wigwe. The commemoration will commence at 2:00 pm and run until 6:00 pm at the Eko Hotel, where family, friends, and well-wishers will gather to honor his memory.
On Tuesday, March 5, two separate events will be held to remember Wigwe’s beloved wife, Chizi Wigwe, and their son, Chizoba Wigwe. The celebration for Chizi will take place at 10:00 am, followed by the honoring of Chizoba’s life at 5:00 pm, both at the Eko Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Wednesday, March 6, will be a night of tributes dedicated to preserving the beautiful memories of the departed. This solemn gathering is scheduled to start at 5:00 pm at the Eko Hotel in Victoria Island.
On Thursday, March 7, a combined service of songs will be conducted at the RCCG Ressurection Parish, located at 1 Ressurection Drive, 1st Gate, Jakande Estate, Km 15 Lekki, starting at 10:00 am.
The Christian Wake-Keeping, which will be held on Friday, March 8, at Wigwe University in Isiokpo, will further honor their memory, commencing at 6:00 pm.
Saturday, March 9, will mark the combined funeral service for Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and their son. The RCCG Lion of Judah Parish in Isiokpo will be solemnly dedicated to this final farewell, commencing at 10:00 am.
A private interment ceremony is scheduled for the same day, to bid a final farewell to the deceased beloveds.
On Sunday, March 10, the outing service will be held at the RCCG Lion of Judah Parish in Isiokpo, once again at 10:00 am.
