Katsina State Police Command has disclosed that a collaborative efforts with the military, helped foiled an attack by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers and rescued 10 abducted victims along Kukar Babangida to Yan Gayya Feeder Road, Katsina State.
The State Police Command’s Spokesperson, ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu who made this know in a statement.
He explained that the joint patrol team achieved the feat after a large number of suspected hoodlums, armed with AK-47s engaged them in a gun battle along Kukar Babangida to Yan Gayya Feeder Road, Katsina State.
Sadiq in the statement, said, “Promptly, the operationally competent patrol team returned fire and succeeded in foiling the attack and rescuing 10 kidnapped victims.”
The State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa, lauded the officers for their gallantry, while enjoinig the good people of the State to continue to support the command, as well as other security agencies with timely information for swift and decisive action against all forms of crime and criminality in the state.
