Head coach, the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, Jean-Baptiste Bisseck, has expressed optimism that his side still can qualifying to the final round of the 2024 Olympic Games Qualifier.
Bisseck expressed this confidence in his post-match press conference.
The Lionesses were held to a 0-0 draw by fierce rivals Nigeria in the first leg of their third-round tie in Douala on Friday.
The hosts created several chances in the clash but were frustrated by Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, who displayed impressive performance.
The two teams will clash in the second leg at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja next Monday.
Ahead of the game, Bisseck is confident that his side can get a good result in Abuja.
“The collective is not yet very well established on our side. We’re going to go there and fight for qualification,” Bisseck said.
“We already know them, we have seen the strong points and the weak points.”
