Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has brought back 3,879 civil servants employed by the immediate past administration of Simon Lalong.
This was made known in a statement by the Secretary to the Government of Plateau State Arch Samuel Nanchang Jatau, in Jos.
In the statement, he said the 3,879 reinstated civil servants cut across 42 Ministries, Departments and Agencies whose employment was carried out under the supervision of the State Civil Service Commission as well as the Office of the Head of Civil Service.
This development ended months of back and forth on the qualification of those employed, and authenticity of the process through which the workers were employed.
Mutfwang suspended the entire employment in June 2023 pending investigation and recommendation by a white paper committee constituted to look into the process in line with civil service procedure.
The statement noted that the cancellation of the employments done by tertiary Institutions under the last administration and ordered the immediate commencement of processes for fresh employment in the affected institutions.
