Residents of the Oyo State capital, Ibadan, trooped out in large numbers to stage a protest against the current economic hardship Nigerians are facing.
Punch Metro gathered that the protesters gathered around the Mokola area of the state and will be moving to the Sango, Bodija and the University of Ibadan areas of the state on Monday, February 19.
Protesters could be seen with different placards with the inscription, ‘Tinubu Must Go Now’, ‘Sanitary Pads Now N4,000’, ‘End Food Hike’, and ‘We Want A Better Nigeria’, amongst others.
The protest comes as the Nigerian naira continues to suffer a huge dip, having exchanged around N1600 to one US dollar as well as a hike in goods and commodities, amongst others.
