Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has vowed to play Asake’s Amapiano through the week to celebrate the Super Eagles’ victory against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote D’ivoire.
Sanwo-Olu made this disclosure in his congratulatory message posted on his X, after Nigeria beat South Africa 4-2 on penalties on Wednesday night.
He specifically lauded Stanley Nwabali, Troost-Ekong, Victor Osimhen, and Coach José Peseiro for their impressive contributions.

Nigeria sealed their place in the Africa Cup of Nations final after a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory against South Africa on Wednesday.
There was a stunning end to normal time as Nigeria led 1-0 and thought they’d scored a second before VAR cancelled Victor Osihmen goal and awarded South Africa a penalty.
