Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has submitted that criticism does not affect him again, noting that coaches will always be criticized.
Peseiro disclosed this during a chat with journalists, adding that there is always a good and bad media.
The Portuguese was heavily criticised by football fans and pundits in the build up to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles failed to record a win in their opening two games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The West Africans also lost 2-0 to Guinea in a friendly few days to the start of AFCON 2023 finals.
“I don’t think about criticism again. If it was 20 years ago, I would have been affected by what the fans are saying about me.
“But at this moment of my career, I’m 63-years old now, I have taken too much vaccine for good.
”There is always the good and bad media. The key thing is to maintain balance. Coaches will always be criticised. Everyone cannot speak well about me like I’m god or superhuman”, Peseiro to newsmen.
The Super Eagles will take on the Palancas Negras of Angola in a quarter-final fixture at the ongoing AFCON 2023 in Abidjan on Friday.
Expectation is high on the Nigeria’s side to clinch victory and move to the next stage of the tournament.
