Nigeria’s Super Eagles will face World champions, Argentina in a friendly in March at the Olympics Sports Centre Stadium in Hangzhou China.
Also, the La Albiceleste will play Cote D’ivoire, the Argentine Football Association announced on Monday.
The announcement of the game followed AFA’s agreement with a Chinese corporation.
However, a date is yet to be picked for the encounter. The FIFA friendly window is scheduled for March 18 and 28.
March fixture will renew hostilities between the Super Eagles and Argentina with both teams meeting nine times in the past.
Argentina has recorded six victories, five of those coming at the World Cup (2-1 in 1994, 1-0 in 2002, 1-0 in 2010, 3-2 in 2014, and 2-1 in 2018).
The only ever draw was in the King Fahd Cup (0-0) in 1995; while the Eagles recorded victories in friendlies, with the most recent one occurring in Abuja in 2011 and from 2-4 at Krasonar, Russia, in 2017.
The game will prepare the Super Eagles for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and the Republic of Benin in June.
