The United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has arrived at the Presidential Villa for an official visit to President Bola Tinubu.
According to The PUNCH, The Secretary of State is in Nigeria as part of his tour to the West African sub-region.
Blinken, who arrived at the State House at about 6:55 pm Nigerian time, was ushered into the bilateral meeting with President Bola Tinubu by Yusuf Tuggar, Foreign Affairs Minister.
He was received by the president’s team led by Yusuf Tuggar, Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Others include Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President, Dele Alake, Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Idris Mohammed, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Lateef Fagbemi, Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Wale Edu, Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister of the Economy; and other top government officials.
The bilateral meeting will dwell on insecurity, Health, and Climate change issues, as well as other challenges facing the West African subregion
He is later expected to depart for Lagos at about 10 pm for other engagements scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday and is expected to depart Nigeria for Angola later tomorrow night
