The operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command have arrested an alleged notorious criminal who specialise in snatching motorcycles in Dan Bami Village of Hunkuyi Local Government Area of the state.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the Police Command Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the arrest in Kaduna on Friday.
Hassan said, “On January 12, at about 1805 hrs, acting on credible information, the surveillance team, in collaboration with Kaduna State Vigilance Service, stormed Dan Bami Village and arrested the suspect.
He explained that in the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed to committing the crime.
The police spokesperson noted further that the suspect mentioned some names of his accomplices.
He disclosed that investigation was ongoing and that the command’s operatives were still on the trail of the other allegedly fleeing suspects.
He urged the residents to prove timely and useful information to enable the command to take proactive measures.
