Mallam Isa Gusau, the spokesman for Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has died on Thursday.
Gusau, a former Daily Trust journalist, who was also the spokesman for the present Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, when he was the governor of Borno State, has been on admission at an Indian hospital for over a month now.
He passed on in a specialist hospital in New Delhi, India after a protracted illness, according to a source who preferred anonymity.

Gusau was said to be actively involved in the publicity for the governor right from his sick bed in India, issuing statements to promote his boss.

He held another Masters’ Degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour and Public Relations from the University of Maiduguri.
