Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has disclosed that its government distributed over 100 operational vehicles equiped with communication gadgets to security agencies in the state.
Makinde made this known in statement posted via X, formerly Twitter handle on Wednesday.
He identified the security agencies that received the operational vehicles to include the Police, ‘Operation Burst’, Department of State Security, Correctional Service and the Amotekun Corps.
The Governor added that he equally presented vehicles to the Oyo State Traffic Management Authority.
Vowing that his administration will continue to provide necessary equipment to the security agencies in order to enhance safety of lives and properties, Makinde noted that he will also ensure their welfares are prioritized.
The Governor said, “This morning, we handed over 100 operational vehicles equipped with communication gadgets to security agencies in Oyo State including the Police, ‘Operation Burst,’ DSS, Correctional Service and Oyo Amotekun. We also presented vehicles to the Oyo State Road Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA).
“I assured the security agencies in Oyo State that our administration will continue to support them with the equipment they need to do their jobs as well as ensuring that their welfare is prioritised. I also thanked them for their contributions towards securing our dear State.”
