The Taraba State Government has sworn-in the new Chief Judge of the state and President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Justice Joel Filibus Agya and Justice Alfred Yakubu on Monday morning.
This was made known in a statement by the State Governor, Agbu Keafas on his X, formerly Twitter handle.
The statement noted the Oath taking ceremony was held at the State House Exco Chambers.
This according to, the Governor, was in line with the approval of the National Judicial Council.
The statement read, “The new Chief Judge of Taraba State and President of the Customary Court of Appeal of Taraba State – Justice Joel Filibus Agya and Justice Alfred Yakubu were sworn-in earlier today. The Oath taking ceremony took place at the State House Exco Chambers.
“This is in line with the approval of the appointments of Justice Filibus Joel Agya as substantive Chief Judge of Taraba State and Justice Alfred Yakubu as President of the Customary Court of Appeal of Taraba State, on the 6th of December, 2023 by the National Judicial Council.”
