The management of the Nigerian Railway Corporation have arrested one of its official over alleged ticket racketeering.
This comes after some staff members of the NRC were alleged to be involved in fraudulent dealings, collecting cash from passengers which they do not remit to the government as well as ticket racketeering.
In a video obtained by PUNCH METRO, the officer was seen been whisked away by security operatives while he protested his arrest.
In an interview with one of the passenger, she said, “The guy said that he is going to book the ticket for us online.
“That he is going to book it N3000 instead of N3600, he said that there is no available ticket now, that some people have already booked the available ones.
“He said if we want, he can do it for us, and sell it to us on his phone for N3000”, she added.
