The Nigeria Correctional Services has deployed John Francis as the new Controller of Corrections, Federal Capital Territory Command.
This was made know by Controller General, NCoS, Haliru Nababa in a statement signed by spokesman of the command, Adamu Duza, Idris
He said Francis will replace Ibrahim Ndaaba Idris, who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Controller General, of Corrections, In charge of Training and Staff Development.
While handing over affairs of the command to Francis on Thursday in Abuja, Idris, task staff of the FCT to extend the show of support given him to his successor.
He lauded their support noting that without that, he wouldn’t have succeeded.
“I can only say I am successful if my successor succeeds,” he said.
In the statement, Idris was optimistic that the incoming Controller to take the FCT command to greater heights.
Controller Francis, while speaking, gave the assurance that he was willing to collaborate with officers of the Command and stakeholders in the FCT to take Corrections to a greater height building on the successes of his predecessors.
Until his deployment, Francis was the National Chaplain – Protestant Nigerian Correctional Service Headquarters, Abuja.
