The new governor of Ondo, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has said it is with a heavy heart hetakes up the governannce of the state after the demise of his predecessor, Rotimi Akeredolu has a monumental loss.
Aiyedatiwa made this known during his first speech as the governor of the State.
In his speech, the new governor said it was with a heavy heart he took over the reins of the governance of the state after the death of Akeredolu.
He said: “It is a devastating thing for us to lose our dear governor.
“This is a monumental loss. It is a great loss to me as an individual.”
Aiyedatiwa became the number one citizen of the Sunshine State following the demise of his former principal, Rotimi Akeredolu, who died in the earlier hours of Wednesday, December 27, in Germany.
