Political economist, Prof. Pat Utomi, has advised men to subject themselves to regular checks especially after the age of 40years.
He stated this while reacting to the demise of the Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.
PUNCH METRO reported that Akeredolu died on Wednesday after a prolonged battle with Leukemia and Prostrate Cancer.
While mourning Akeredolu, he urged men to ensure that they go for regular checks especially after attaining the age of 40years.
“Oh No. Not another partner. Just heard of Ondo Gov. Akeredolu. Aketi and I were schoolmates in Ibadan just as his wife Betty was my schoolmate at UNN. We were good family friends. I joined his wife in the cancer awareness campaign when she encountered it about 3 decades ago.
“Had hoped Aketi, like Betty would overcome Cancer. On the morning Aketi lost the battle another friend from Patito’s Gang slipped into very difficult straits from the disease. I plead with men to make a point of checks and tests after age 40. We can survive cancer caught early”, he tweeted.
