Gaza’s health ministry has recorded a total of 241 casualties within the past 24 hours due to ongoing clashes amid Israel’s military operation in the region.
According to The BBC, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas denounced the war as a severe injustice against his people.
Also, Israel’s army leader, Herzi Halevi, foresees the continuation of the conflict for several more months.
It was reported that Israel conducted airstrikes on over 100 locations on Tuesday, potentially signaling forthcoming ground actions in central Gaza.
Explosions reverberated along the Gaza Strip near Israeli’s border in the early hours of Wednesday.
Additionally, six Palestinians were reportedly killed in an Israeli drone strike in Tulkarem’s Nur Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
Injuries also soared, with Gaza’s health ministry confirming 382 casualties within the same 24-hour period.
The ministry’s figures highlight a grim toll, citing at least 20,915 Palestinian fatalities, primarily among children and women, during the 11-week-long conflict.
Notably, there’s no independent verification of the claims made by the conflicting parties. The war ignited on October 7 following Homos’ series of lethal assaults within Israel, resulting in around 1,200 deaths, predominantly civilians. Approximately 240 individuals were held hostage by Hamas, with some later released.
