Actor Jonathan Majors has been found guilty by a New York jury on Monday for the assault and harassment of his former girlfriend during a domestic altercation.
The jury convicted Majors on one count of reckless assault in the 3rd degree, along with a non-criminal charge of harassment as a violation. However, he was acquitted on another assault charge and a count of aggravated harassment.
Scheduled for sentencing on February 6 next year, Majors faces legal repercussions following the verdict.
Throughout the court proceedings on Monday, Majors maintained a composed demeanor as the verdict was delivered.
Following closing arguments, the jury began deliberations on Thursday and reached a decision after approximately four and a half hours.
The trial, initiated on December 4, stemmed from a domestic dispute in March involving Majors and his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Despite pleading not guilty to misdemeanor charges of assault and aggravated harassment, Majors now faces the consequences of the jury’s decision.
