Vice President Kashim Shettima has ordered the National Emergency Management Agency to mobilize and provide necessary help to the victims of the terrible drone attack on the Tudun Biri community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Shettima gave this order in Kaduna on Thursday during a scheduled visit to commiserate the government and people of Kaduna State over the unfortunate incident.
Shettima, visibly moved by what he witnessed in the hospital, directed the NEMA to ensure that victims receive enough relief materials.
He noted that the Federal Government plans to improve the Tudun Biri village, which lacks basic services such as schools and hospitals.
The VP state further that the government, led by President Bola Tinubu, would soon start the Pullako Initiative, which aims to improve rural inhabitants’ lives while revitalizing regions afflicted by insecurity.
He said, “The President approved the commencement of the Pullako Initiative by next month. The Pullako Initiative is the President’s unique response as a non-kinetic approach to the challenges in the North West.
“The benefiting States are Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, Katsina, Kaduna, and for the purpose of equity and justice, we deliberately included Niger and Benue States.”
Shettima lauded religious leaders and community elders for standing firm against what he called a conspiracy to politicise the incident in order to inflame sentiments.’
