Chief Executive of Green Energy Limited, Prof Anthony Adegbulugbe, has been named the third Chancellor of Joseph Ayo Babalola University in Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.
According to The PUNCH, his official installation as Chancellor is scheduled for Friday, December 8.
Established in 2004 under divine guidance from the Christ Apostolic Church worldwide, the university derives its name from the revered spiritual leader, Joseph Ayo Babalola (1904–1959).
The institution stands at the historic site where Apostle Babalola was called by God to confront the Ogobungo monster in 1928.
Distinguished personalities have previously held the esteemed position of Chancellor at JABU. The inaugural Chancellor was former Minister of Finance under Chief Ernest Shonekan’s Interim Government, Oba Oladele Olashore (CON).
Following him, Pastor Oluwawemimo Odunaiya (FCA), co-founder of Access Bank and Vice-Chairman from 1997 to 2003, assumed the role.
Prof Adegbulugbe, an ordained Pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church, brings extensive experience as an accomplished energy expert in Nigeria’s public and private sectors, as well as internationally.
His recent appointment adds to his already notable recognition, having received the University Award of Excellence in Research Practice from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, last June.
This acknowledgment honors his outstanding knowledge-based accomplishments at both global and national levels.
