A video depicting the living conditions of some Nigerians residing in a shelter in Mississauga, Canada, has gone viral across social media platforms.
The footage highlighted that it was within this shelter that a young Nigerian had passed away weeks earlier.
A Pastor featured in the video mentioned that several Nigerians are residing in the shelter while awaiting updates on their asylum requests to Canadian authorities.
The cleric also called on the federal government to fulfill its pledge to provide financial aid to help build a decent temporary shelter residence for Nigerians in Mississauga.
He also called on the Canadian government to address the situation,”This is ‘un-Canadian’, inhumane for anyone to live in”, he said.
