A woman simply identified as Jane Doe, has filed a suit in New York, United States, alleging that a US actor, Jamie Foxx, sexually assaulted her eight years ago at Catch NYC & Roof, shedding light on a disturbing incident that allegedly took place on the popular rooftop venue.
In the court documents, she explained that her ordeal began when her friend approached Jamie Foxx for a photograph in 2015.
The woman claimed that Foxx, appearing intoxicated, responded affirmatively, stating, “Sure, baby, anything for you.” The situation then took a distressing turn as Foxx reportedly proceeded to compliment her physique, even drawing a comparison to actress Gabrielle Union.
She declared that that Foxx subsequently escorted her to a secluded area of the rooftop, where she alleged that he placed both hands on her waist, moved them under her top, and began rubbing her breasts.
She stated that the sad encounter allegedly escalated further, with Foxx allegedly putting his hand in her pants.
The plaintiff contends that the inappropriate touching continued until her friend intervened, witnessing the upsetting scene unfold.
As a result of the alleged incident, Doe claimed to have suffered both physical and emotional repercussions, necessitating medical treatment.
The court documents outline charges of “sexual assault, abuse, assault and battery” against Foxx.
It was learnt that the woman is reportedly pursuing a legal action against Jamie Foxx and Catch NYC for compensatory and punitive damages as the lawsuit suggests a desire for accountability and restitution for the reported pain and distress endured by the accuser.
