Former Barcelona winger and Lazio veteran, Pedro Eliezer Rodríguez, has disclosed that he would like to end his career with Barcelona.
Pedro left Barca for Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea before his move to in Italy.
He told Betevé: “I would like to finish my career at Barcelona.
“If Xavi called me, I would get on a quick flight and before he could hang up I would be here. But it’s difficult, in recent years I’ve spoken to many people, with Xavi, with Laporta… I’ve tried to get back in one way or another, but it’s very complicated.
“There are many factors… especially age, but I would love it: it would be the perfect end to my career. Being able to retire here would be spectacular, but since I see it very far away, I don’t even think about it.”
Pedro, a quick, versatile, and intelligent two-footed forward, usually plays as a left winger, although he is capable of playing on either flank, as well as in several other positions in both attack and midfield; he has often been used on the right flank with the Spanish national team.
A clever and diminutive player, he is famous for his pace, balance, technique, dribbling skills, and defensive workrate, as well as his ability both to score and create goals.
He has a good finishing passing, crossing, and link-up play ability
Pedro has an ability to make runs in behind the opposing defence from the flank or drive forward, which makes him an attacking threat on counter-attacks.
